Burnett Heads

Burnett Heads is always a good spot. Head towards the Jan McDonald Park. Check at the river mouth for Brown Booby and Australasian Gannet, overlook the harbour mudflats for waders, head around to Gorman Park and check out the birds in the mangroves. Walk along the track to the lighthouse past the pilot station reserve. In the rocks at the waters edge look for Sooty Oystercatchers and Wandering Tattlers. There is a wetland along Hermans Road that always has good birds.
